Thurne Group Enjoy an Afternoon of Pétanque at Norwich
Norwich Pétanque Club welcomed another group to the terrain on Saturday 10th October, as 12 members of the Thurne group came along to enjoy an introduction to pétanque.

The visit was organised by Marty Howe and gave the group the opportunity to get involved, try their hand at the sport and enjoy some friendly games.
One particularly pleasing part of the afternoon was being able to make the session accessible to a lady using a mobility scooter. Rather than having to watch from the sidelines, she was able to join in with the games and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
She and her husband enjoyed the session so much that they are now considering coming back to the club on a Wednesday evening to have another go.
Creating opportunities for people of different ages and abilities to get involved is an important part of what we do at Norwich Pétanque Club, and it was fantastic to see everyone taking part and enjoying their
time on the terrain.

The group also very kindly made a £50 donation to Norwich Pétanque Club, for which we are extremely grateful.
Could We Introduce Your Group to Pétanque?
Norwich Pétanque Club is always keen to introduce new people to the sport. If you're involved with a community group, club, society or other organisation and think your members might enjoy giving pétanque a try, we'd love to hear from you.
Simply speak to a member of the Norwich Pétanque Club committee, and we'll do our best to help arrange an opportunity for your group to come along, learn the basics and have a go.
A big thank you to Marty Howe for organising Saturday's visit, and to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable afternoon.
We hope to see some familiar faces back at the terrain again soon!
