Norwich Pétanque Club’s junior section continues to go from strength to strength, with six young members regularly attending the club’s monthly training sessions.

At the April session, the juniors were proudly presented with their official club training tops. It was fantastic to see them being worn with pride at the May session, highlighting the growing identity and team spirit within the group.
A particularly exciting milestone came on 2nd May, when two of our juniors stepped onto the competition stage for the very first time. Competing with confidence and determination, they achieved an excellent return of two wins from four games, finishing with an impressive +9 points difference. A great foundation to build on, and we look forward to seeing them take part in more competitions over the coming months.
With the summer holidays approaching, our juniors are keen to get more involved in club life by joining our Wednesday social nights. This is a brilliant opportunity for them to test their skills against a variety of opponents and continue their development. We encourage all members to extend the usual warm welcome and share any tips or advice to help support their progress.
Our next junior session will take place on Sunday, 14th June, and we are always on the lookout for volunteers to help support these sessions. If you would like to assist, please contact Mark Bell at Coach@norwich-petanque.co.uk.
If you know any young players who might like to give pétanque a try, we would love to hear from them. More information and registration can be found here:👉 https://www.norwich-petanque.co.uk/junior-coaching
The future of the club is looking bright, and it’s fantastic to see our juniors enjoying the game and developing their skills with every session.
